Shot down 14 October 1943 in B-17 #42-30707 'Piccadilly Commando'.



Earlier flew on B-17#42-30065 that crash landed returning from raid on Stuttgart on 6 Sept 43. It ran out of fuel. Many of the other B-17's were low on fuel that day.



23 September 1943 returning from mission to Nantes, France, crashed in B-17 #42-3449 while attempting to land at RAF Wing. All crew returned, but 3 seriously injured.



10/8/43 crash landed in 'Liberty Belle' B-17 #42-5889 on return from mission to Poland. 10 RTD.
