"Flying as a PFC bombardier in the SW Pacific and flying 94 combat missions there, 1st Lt Morton H Greenwald of Chicago, IL earned the Silver Star, Purple Heart (2 Oak Leaf Cluster) and Distinguished Flying Cross (Oak Leaf Cluster). He is now serving as an Administrative officer at an 8th AF bomber station in England. He was at the bombing of Pearl Harbor, battles of Bismarck and Coral seas, flew from Henderson field, Guadalcanal and served as a foot soldier when the Japs came over the Owen Stanley mountains."
