Morton B Lehman
Military ROLL OF HONOUROn 22 Jan 1944, pilot mistook Watton for his home field and B-17G #42-39942 landed on runway under construction and crashed. RTD. Shot down by rocket fire from JU88s on a mission to Poznan, Poland on 20 Feb 1944 in B-17G #42-37951. All of the crew, except the pilot, baled out but were lost at sea. The a/c crashed near Korsor, Denmark. Killed in Action (KIA).
