Crashed attempting to land at Endcliffe Park, Sheffield, UK returning from Aalborg, Denmark mission 22-Feb-44 in B-17G 42-31322 'Mi Amigo'. Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 15190. Credited with shooting down two enemy aircraft previously, and the Me109 that badly damaged 'Mi Amigo' on this mission. His brother was a radio operator with the 305th and survived the war.
