My maiden name is Mary Slayton (now Sullivan). I am the youngest of his four children. Before Dad passed away, he told his story in a book written by William Smallwood, "Valor, Guts, and Luck" published by Potomac Books. If you can tell me where and to whose attention I can send it, it would be my pleasure to share a copy with the museum. Unfortunately, Dad passed away shortly before the book was released.
