Flight Officer Louis Peterson was born June 21, 1918. His next of kin were his wife, Isabelle Peterson, his son, Larry Peterson, and his parents, Louis and Eva Peterson. He was from Seattle, Washington.
He was the Copilot aboard B-17 tail #44-6304 of the 305th Bomb Group, 422nd Bomb Squadron, when it crashed over Vollradisroda, Germany, on August 16, 1944. Of the crew of ten on board, only the pilot, 2nd LT Darrell V. Betz, survived.
He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Renton, Washington.
