Leonard S Lang
MilitaryPrisoner of War (POW). May 17, 1943, in B26 41-18052 on mission to a power station in Holland, shot down from flak and crashed into Nieuwe Waterweg near Maassluis. Swam to shore and was captured, escaped, and recaptured several times before being sent to Stalag Luft III at Sagan. Was among the prisoners sent on a forced march in January 1945 to Stalag VII-A liberated by U.S. 14th Armored Division on Apr 29th.
