Prisoner of War (POW) Crashed at Lake Mueritz on 25Aug 1944 in B-17G 43-37980 and on 11 May 44 crashed at Chichester, UK in a B-24 (friendly territory) May mission was the 'Low Level' one mentioned in Bernie Lay's '12 O'clock High' Sqdrn flew directly over FLAK school at Chatue Dunn, Fr. August missiion was Deputy Lead and took direct hit in the main spar.
