Johnnie Muir

Muir was accused of desertion for refusing to fly and accompany his crew on a mission to Emden on 27 September 1943. He had completed 5 missions previously, but asserted that his heated flight equipment was not suitable for the mission on 27 September. His charges were eventually dropped.
