He registered for the WW II draft on 29 June 1942, and he was listed as employed by his father. He was 5' 7" tall; weighed 132 pounds; had black hair, hazel eyes and a 'dark complexion'.

On 08 October 1942, he entered the service from Lubbock, Texas, as a private in the Air Corps. He was single, without dependents and had one year of high school education; his civilian occupation was listed as: "Cooks, except private family".

His name appeared in the the 437th TCG Association Reunion book in 1980 and was listed as his 'Last Flight' in 1972. According to that entry, he was a baker in the 85th TCS.
