John K Robinson Jr
MilitaryPhoto provided to me by my Dad.
Lead Navigator; Dad's combat notebook (which I have) lists 25 combat missions; shot down by flak on 2 March 1945 (his Mission 18) over Bohlen, Germany (near Leipzig) in the "Towering Titan" (A/C #43-38085). Crash-landed wheels up in Belgium at an airfield that had been in Nazi hands only the week before. On Bob Armstrong's crew.
My Dad died on 1 March 2017 - 72 years almost to the day after being shot down.
