Attacked by 12 FW190s on a mission to Brunswick, GR on 29 Mar 1944, B-17G #42-39950 'Wampus Cat' crash landed SW of Amsterdam after 7 crew members bailed out. Prisoner of War (POW). He was afterwards District Director with the Michigan Employment Security Commission.
