Killed in Action (KIA) on 4-Mar-43 in B-17F 42-5370, 91BG/324BS while serving as Right Waist Gunner. The aircraft was shot down by fighters and crashed into the North Sea near Texel Island, Holland on return from a mission to bomb the railroad marchalling yards at Hamm, Germany.
