He was an inspector for GATX, Catasauqua, for 32 years before retiring in 1982. He was a projectionist in the Allentown area during the 1930s and 1940s. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William H. and Esther H. (Haag) Ruch. He was a Protestant. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of captain and serving as a fighter pilot. Surviving: Sons, Jay T. of Whitehall, Roger D. of West Chester, Chester County; a grandson. |
