Assigned to 384FS, 364FG, 8AF USAAF. Failed to Return (FTR) scouting mission Dresden in P-51D 44-13764; fuel transfer control froze, preventing selection of remaining fuel. Baled out or bellied in near Waldernbach. Killed in Action (KIA) MACR 12377
