Assigned to 322BS, 91BG, 8AF USAAF. Flew 35 combat missions from 7/9/ thru 12/5/44. Survived 3 crash landings, once in occupied Belgium; once behind US lines in France, and once when returning to Bassingbourn. Captured by German troops in Belgium but immediately escaped with the help of the Belgium Resistance. Kept a journal and a diary detailing each of his missions.
Awards: DFC, AM (3OLC), GC, WWII Victory, EAME (3 x Battle Stars).
