Obit: "Howard A. Roeller, 67. Howard A. Roeller, 67, a retired airline pilot, died Aug. 25 at Sharon (CT.) Hospital. A 25-year resident, Mr. Roeller retired as a captain after 32 years with Pan American World Airways. He had been a member and past officer of the Millbrook Rod & Gun Club, a member of Friends of Cary Arboretum, the Lyall Memorial Federated Church, all of Millbrook, and he had served on the Town of Washington planning board. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, flying B-24s. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross, and had flown in 31 successful missions in Europe. He was born April 8, 1921, in Morrisville (Madison County), to Milton and May Howlett Roeller. He was a 1939 graduate of Morrisville-Eaton High School, a 1941 graduate of the State University of New York at Morrisville, and he attended Colgate University. On Sept. 6, 1945, in Morrisville, he married Doris Fuller, who survives."
