Hiram Orlando Bevins
MilitaryOn 3-Sep-43 in P-47C 41-6232 as pilot, 1Lt Hiram O Bevins aircraft was disabled by ground fire as he was returning from a bomber escort mission. He reportedly was flying "on the deck". He managed to crashland the aircraft near Versailles, France, but was captured as a Prisoner of War (POW) MACR 472.
