MilitaryPrisoner of War (POW) Shot down by flak and crashed neqr Newstift on 7/31/44 in B-17 Priority Gal #4297304 A young villager saw him turn the plane to the left so that it would miss the village of Neustift. The boy shoved food through the fence while Supchak was a Prisoner of War (POW). Years late that boy, now a hotel owner, hired a historian to track down that pilot, He did, and thats how Supchak returned to the village where they honored him for his courage. The boy and the pilot hugged each other for a long time.
