Shot down fighters and crashed near Gottingen shortly after leaving the target at Halberstadt, Germany on 22 Feb 1944 in B-17F 42-29829. Killed in Action.



Wernegarode, Germany mission 22 Feb 1944 'Sons o' Satan' A/C was stragggling behind with #3 engine feathered after leaving Halberstadt. The A/C was attacked by ME 109's and ME 210's. It went down under control, but may have been on fire.
