MilitaryWhile serving as Radio Operator in B-17G 43-37613 on 16-Aug-44 the aircraft was attacked by German fighters and severly damaged. The pilot managed to fly this aircraft back to England and landed at Boreham, Essex, UK. He was uninjured and Returned to Duty. RTD
