Oklahoma City, OK, USA | 6 August 2010 | Reverend George W. Warrington, 84, went home to be with his Lord, on August 6, 2010. George was born September 23, 1925. He grew up at Montauk Point, Long Island, New York, where his father served as lighthouse keeper for the U.S. Coastguard. He served in the U.S. Army/Air Corps during World War II. He was married to Donna Sampson for 61 years, and they were blessed with 4 children. George pastored in Ohio until 1956, when he moved to Oklahoma, where he taught the Bible to children in the public school system for 45 years. His students affectionately knew him as "The Bible Man." He also served as pastor of Grace Bible Church in Del City for 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; and children, David, Debbie, Dan and Steve; 4 grandchildren; and sister, Louise Raynor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. The family requests memorials to be sent to CBM of the Great Southwest, Inc., P.O. Box 15081, OKC, OK 73155.
