Earlier flew on B-17#42-30065 that crash landed returning from raid on Stuttgart on 6 Sept 43. It ran out of fuel. Many of the other B-17's were low on fuel that day.
On 8 Oct 1943 crash landed in 'Liberty Belle' B-17 #42-5889 on return from mission to Poland. 10 RTD.
