Killed in Action (KIA) Crashed on takeoff. All crew were Killed in Action (KIA) This was Lt. Littleton's first mission flight. The plane stalled out on take off and crashed at the end of the runway. The fuel tanks exploded and then 2 of the thousand pound bombs went. off.
