Killed in Action (KIA) near Leipzig in B-17 #43-39164. After being in a collision with another B-17, the #1 engine on fire, number 3 engine fell off and the aircraft started into a flat spin and then fell apart. 3 crew members survived. Recorded as KIFA, killed in flight accident
