Frank K Watson
MilitaryShot down 17 April 1943 in B-17 #4229658. Prisoner of War (POW). Hit in the tail by flak after bombs away over target Bremen. Attacked by fighters, the a/c went into a slow roll and Watson and copilot Kemp fought to keep it upright as ME 109's attacked. Ordered a bail out from smoke filled plane. A/C crashed at Stotel. 5 were Killed in Action (KIA) and 5 became Prisoner of War (POW)s. Watson was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 3.
