On mission to Villacoublay, FR on 5 Feb 1944, B-17F #42-3501 'Kasch's Kids' turned back due to mechanical problems. Crew baled out and a/c crashed Dymchurch, Kent. RTD. While taxiing for take off in B-17G #42-31567 on 6 Mar 1944, the brakes failed and the a/c ran into a parked truck. RTD. Shot down by fighters on a mission to Erkner, Berlin on 8 Mar 1944, B-17F #42-30847 'Pegasus' crashed SE of Vechta, Gr. Killed in Action (KIA)
