Lt. Risk joined the squadron with Lts. John Hynes and James Frye in February 1945. Lt. Frye would be killed in March of 1945, crashing in the channel after his engine took a hit and he could not nurse it back. Lt. Risk would be Killed in Action (KIA) flying P-51 'Lady Margaret' 44-14796 (This aircraft was mostly flown by Lt. George S. Montgomery) crashed due to flak near Obernberg on 16 April 1945.
