Edward Genaro Samara
Military ROLL OF HONOURBombardier, Schrader Crew. 381st BG, 533rd BS, 8th AF. Shot down 25 June 1943 in B-17 #42-30027. Mission #3 to Hamburg, Germany. MACR 162. Killed in Action (KIA). Lt Samara is surmised to have bailed out and possibly drowned. The aircraft crashed into the sea around Bensersiel, Germany. His body washed ashore 10 July 1943 and was interred in the Wooge Communal cemetery. Reinterred in the Ardennes AMC.
