Staff Sergeant Earl J. Propst was born August 3, 1923. His next of kin were his parents, Earl and Alice Propst. He was from Morgantown, West Virginia.

On September 13, 1944, he was serving as Radar Observer aboard “Envy of Them All,” B-24 tail #42-50279, of the 392nd Bomb Group, 576th Bomb Squadron, when it went down over Rudesheim, Germany.

He is buried in the US Military Cemetery at St. Avold, France.
