Donald Wilson

Donald had completed his freshman year at University when he joined the Air Corps in August 1943. He trained as a gunner and in October 1944 joined the 91st - the 'Ragged Irregulars'- at Bassingbourn. He flew on 35 combat missions, on Christmas Eve flak knocked out three engines of their B-17 and caused them to make a forced landing in Belgium, fortunately behind Allied lines. Discharged in October 1945 he finished his first degree then went on to Law School and practiced Law for some 50 years.
