Crew of the "Free Delivery" just before being deployed to Framlingham, England. Free Delivery was hit by flak on Dec. 31, 1944 while on a mission to Hamburg and was eventually shot down by a Messerschmitt Me 262. Crew parachuted; 2 (Carpenter, Dinger) KIA; 7 taken as POW.
