Stationed at New Castle Army Air Base, Wilmington, Delaware. Served in North Africa, European Theatre, China-Burma & the Pacific Theatre. Ferried lots of different aircraft to combat theatres. Was a hand-selected crew member at the end of the war to fly only the "owners & editors", along with writers & photographers, of all the major American Newspapers & media to Germany. All on orders from the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe upon the first Nazi Concentration Camp's liberation.
