Correct spelling of name is Pollak, per Stalag Luft 3 records and Smotherman (pilot) records
Correct downed a/c is 42-29798, not 42-5798. MACR has been corrected. 42-5798 crashed in the US
MACR 657.
David Pollack is also wrongly linked to 42-29798 at https://www.americanairmuseum.com/person/39130...
As for his fellow crew members, the plane they were shot down in was 42-5798, which was correctly indicated on the page for Pollack, updated today (see MACR 657 !)
