Darrah flew twenty-two combat missions as a C-47 pilot with the 9th Air Force after serving briefly with the Mighty Eighth. He also flew as a pilot on General Eisenhower’s staff.
Darrah is the author of a book on his World War II experiences entitled “The Flashing Green Light – A Pilots View of WWII”.
