Flew 35 missions/ B-17 'Short Snorter'
He enlisted in September 1942, joined the Group at Deopham Green and flew his first mission in April 1944. On D-Day they flew missions in support of the invasion, he would 'never forget' the sight of the vast armada of ships and landing craft heading for the Normandy beaches. Postwar he was a draftsman- designer until his retirement.
Awards: DFC, AM (3OLC), EAME (2BS), WWII Victory.
