missing in action

10 April 1945 Sgt Sarockas bailed out and was seen on the ground alive. He was taken as a POW along with other crew members. The group was split into 2 groups, near Beckendorf,Germany. Sgt Sarockas was not seen again. He was killed by either German soldiers or during combat with the advancing US Army. His body has never been found. It is noted that the town he was last reported in was in the Soviet Sector of Germany.
