Entered service at Philadelphia, PA 22 January 1944. Joined 392nd BG 1944. He flew on 30 combat missions; on two of them - after taking numerous flak hits - they had to bail out, fortunately over France. The first time was on 16 January 1945, his 19th birthday. Rank at end of WW II was S/Sergeant. He re-enlisted in 1958 as an electronic warfare maintenanace specialist until his retirement in 1977- Rank at retirement from service was T/Sergeant.
Flew 30 combat missions and twice bailed out.
