Private First Class Carl A. Baker, of the 303rd Bomb Group, putting on his overshoes by an ambulance. Image stamped on reverse: ‘Copyright Current Affairs Ltd.’ [stamp], ‘Passed for Publication 16 Dec 1942. [stamp] and ‘238723.’ [Censor no.] Printed caption on reverse: '6A. When PFC. Carl A. Baker (U.S. Air Corps) was asked if he were engaged he replied "Not quite". Aged 22 and a meat cutter before he enlisted, Baker lives at 6837, North Tripp Ave, Jefferson Station, Chicago and attended Illinois State Normal University. O.P.S. Baker draws on his overshoes in a muddy field somewhere in England."'
