Greenville, SC, USA 2 November 2004 Billy B. Boyer, 84, of Bellaire Place, Greenville, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004. Born in Duncan County, Okla., he was the son of the late Oscar and Ada Boyer. He was the husband of the late Marian (Sargent) Boyer. During World War II, he was a first lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corps as a bomber pilot. He spent 16 months in a POW camp after being shot down in 1944. He was a member of the American Legion, Ex POW Club of Greenville, Disabled Veterans Association, and Booster of the Red Cross. He was a member of Lee Road Baptist Church in Taylors. Surviving are a daughter, Sue B., and her husband, Jack Davis, of Greenville; a son, Donald E., and his wife, Margaret Boyer, of Fresno, Calif.; three grandchildren, Donna, and her husband, Jay Coggins, Mike, and his wife, Cindy Davis, Nathan, and his wife, Leanne Boyer; and six great-grandchildren.
