Dishonourably discharged on 11 December 1943 for being disruptive at the Three Tuns pub in Bristol, Gloucestershire on 6 November 1943. With a group of other members of the USAAF he threw and broke beer glasses, damaged private property, assaulted other members of the US Forces, and British women, and resisted arrest.
