MilitaryCrashed near Feyensein on 9/12/44 in B-17 Tailwind #42-97368. He was unable to leave the plane by himself because he was pinned in the wreckage, under the ammunation case. He called for the Germans to get him out, but they would not come into the plane until he spoke German saying 'he had no weapon and bombs are gone'. Prisoner of War (POW) at Stalag Luft 4. He flew on John Sasser crew.
