21 January 1944 - 30 March 1944 | After landing in parachute near Meigneux, 35km SW of Amiens, France, he was helped by French citizens and members of the Résistance. He was guided to Paris, then Toulouse, crossing over into Spain on 21 March 1944. Arrived in Gibraltar on 30 March; left by air from there to Casablanca, Morocco on 2 April and then was flown to England, landing at the RAF base of St Mawgan on 3 April 1944. |
