Lt. Adolph .P. Miller's B-17 "Dear Becky" was shot down on 26 November 1944 on a mission to bomb a railroad viaduct near Altenbeken, Germany. Lt. Miller was a POW at Stalag Luft I for the remainder of the war. Lt. Bottomley was also a POW until the end of the war in May 1945.
