ABE SCHONIER OBITUARY
ABE SCHONIER, 86, died Feb. 4, 2008, at his home in the Medallion. Abe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, and is survived by his sister Sally Leva and her husband Sheldon, of Richardson, Texas, and by many nephews and nieces. In particular, he received ongoing loving care by his niece Marcie Rosen and her husband David, and by his great-nephew Charles Marshall. He was also blessed with many devoted and treasured friends, including most especially Dodie Ferguson and Skip Nolan. Abe was deeply devoted to the Arabian Shrine Temple and to Congregation Beth Yeshurun. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery with Rabbi David Rosen and Hazzan David Propis officiating. Donations in his memory are suggested to Congregation Beth Yeshurun, 4525 Beechnut Street, or Seven Acres, 6200 North Braeswood Blvd. Following the funeral, a memorial service and an opportunity to visit with the family will take place at the Medallion (adjacent to Seven Acres) at 1:30 p.m.
