The transcriptions can aid enormously in researching individuals, aircraft, and missions. Download a copy of the pdf and use the built in search feature of Adobe to find Names, Tail Numbers, Dates, etc. NOTE: There are some transcription errors (typos) that may require additional searching. For example, searching for my Uncle J. D. Hamner's last name "Hamner" didn't locate all his missions. A second search for "Hammer" found "J.D. Hammer" with the rest of his crewmembers on the missing missions. Aircraft tail numbers are occasionally typed in error. Aircraft 883 was "893" on a few reports. There are some nice diary-like entries. For example, D-Day and VE-Day both get a line or two in with the standard reporting.
