I am the oldest daughter of Frank J Arpaia.  I have records from his air force trunk and a log he made of his missions. Graduating from Army Air Force Navigation School on 10/16/43 class of 10-14

I have some early history on the B17-30-BO 42-31828.  My father Frank Arpaia was the navigator of this plane and he flew with crew from Presque Is on the 2Mar44 to Poddington, England.  I have his flight log  from 2/22/44.

This was the first flight crew was

Ropert Preston Jr2nd Lt,  Joe Beck Co-Pilot 2nd Lt, Frank J. Arpaia, Navigator, 2nd Lt, Gene Byer 2nd Lt, Bombadier

Sgt. Jess Campbell Ass Radio and Gunner Waist, Sgt. Chase Wobrey 3rd Engineer and gun Turret, Sgt Kenneth Bryant 1st Engineer and gunner Turret, Seg Fred Lucas 1st Armment Chief Tail, Sgt Harry Steele 2nd Engineer and wait gunner, Sgt Cecil Tims Radio and Gunner.  

They named there plane " I Beg Your Pardon" picture taken March 1944

They flew 34 missions until June 27 1944 when the tour ended
