Local training and familiarization.
On landing, pilot landed short of the runway, left wing dropped and dug into the grass.
Right main tire hit sideways and buckled; right wing went down. Aircraft then cartwheeled to the left.
Fuselage buckled, landing gear, both wing and engine damaged.
Aircraft stricken.
