Roger Freeman Collection
IWM, Roger Freeman Collection
Assigned to 1st Scout Force, 8AF USAAF.
44-14375 destroyed on ground at Evere, Belgium airfield during Jan 1, 1945 Bodenplatte raid.
it appears in Roger Freeman's book "The Mighty Eighth War Diary". However, he states aircraft was at Brussels/Melsbroek, not Evere;
Some Confusion has arisen because of it being a 1st Scouting Force aircraft with 364FG markings but the 1st SF was maintained and, effectively, run by the 364th.
