42-94810, "Terrible Terry's Terror !", IS-J+, 445th Bomb Group, 700th Bomb Squadron. Named in honor of the 445th's first commander, Col. Robert H. Terrill.
NARA
Assigned to the 700th BS, 445th BG as IS-J+. Flown by the crew of 1st Lt. William F. Hunter on the disastrous Kassel Mission, 27 Sep 44 (445th BG Mission #169). Damaged by enemy fighters it made a forced landing near Willems, France, 12 km east of Lille. The crew survived but were later transferred to the 389th BG where they were lost in March 1945.
